ABOUT

lomo38.jpg

The band originally formed in 2011, built on a love for rock n roll and the blues. The original line up built the foundations for the band, releasing 2 albums and developing a strong local following. Since then the line up along with the sound has expanded and shifted and our following has grown across the UK.

The current line up is; Mark Woods (bass guitar + vocals), Beth Lees (flute, vocals + percussion), Miles James ( harmonica), Max Gibson (lead guitar), Joss Love (drums) and Ted Randall (washboard + percussion)

In the summer of 2020, during lockdown, we released our fourth album Dictated Democracy. Fuelled by a dissatisfaction with the current state of politics in the UK and globally, this is our heaviest album yet. Combined with our influences through time, the result is a hard hitting record with a very clear message. With the ever changing covid situation during 2020/2021, we decided to temporarily drop our electric guitars and craft an acoustic set, which allowed us to continue performing despite restrictions. This has now stayed as a permanent addition to our electric set, allowing us to perform in venues with sound restrictions.

In March 2022 we toured supporting Alabama 3 in venues such as The Concorde 2 (Brighton) and The Phoenix (Exeter) and during the summer of 2022 we have hit the UK festival circuit playing festivals such as Glastonbury and Beautiful days. We supportEd dutch band 'my baby' at The Concorde 2 in November and will be supporting blues giant 'cam cole' autumn/winter 2022. We have just recorded our fifth album this winter for release in spring, with the hope of touring it in Europe in 2023.
